Cheap Hotel Guide

How to get a cheap hotel

When beginning your search for a cheap hotel deals you should always check the price the hotel quotes you directly. Once they give you the hotel room price, ask them for a discount. The best price or deal that you can get is your base price. Now the task is to improve on this price.

Get yourself onto expedia and ebookers, and kayak the three biggest online travel agents. You should find cheap hotel deals on these sites, and about 40% of the time you should be able to book your hotel room cheaper than booking it with the hotel directly.

I have always heard you should book early but I've found that if I wait until the last week then they are more anxious to rent the rooms so they give better deals. I often travel with no agenda and if it's a road trip I like to stop where ever I get an urge to.  I've landed some great rooms and rates that way. But on the downside if you’re not booking ahead then you may run the risk of them not having a room available.

In reasonable times, purchasing travel as early as possible is the best way to lock in the lowest rates. Travel suppliers in general raise prices as unsold inventory depletes. But in an economic crisis, suppliers are more likely to be forced to eat unsold inventory and may present oneself the best bargains at the last minute as they desperately try to fill unoccupied rooms, seats or vehicles. Hotels and rental cars are most defenseless, as they cannot easily eliminate capacity to match demand as airlines can by simply grounding flights.

The only way to find the cheapest deals is to do as much comparing as possible. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. You will find many sources throughout this page.
